First Year History
Students cover ten to eleven chapters in First Year. We start with learning the skills of a historian and archaeologist, the importance of these skills in studying history.
Second Year History
Students continue their study of history, while also completing a three week classroom based assessment which looks at their local place in history.
Third Year History
Students enter their final year of JC History. In the last four years, there has been no required completion of the second CBA or the Assessment Task. Students will sit their Final Written Exam in June.
Assessment
Students have four State Sanctioned Assessments in their study of Junior Cycle History. Teachers additionally use class tests and other in-house assessments to help prepare students for their final written assessment.
